"Slip and fall injury" or "trip and fall injury" is the general term for an injury that occurs when someone falls, trips or slips as a direct result of a dangerous or hazardous condition on someone else's property.  Considered to be personal injury, slip and fall accidents can result from the following: sleet, water, rain, ice, snow, grease or other slippery substance on a walking surface, as well as unexpected changes in flooring, inadequate lighting, or a hidden hazard, such as a gap or a hard-to-see hole in the ground.

What to do if you were injured as a result of a slip and fall?

Timely recording of your recollection will help make your claim stronger. Include the following information:

•    Date and time the fall down accident occurred
  

•    A description of the circumstances surrounding the accident, such as grease or water being on the floor and there not being any signs warning you that the floor may be slippery
